About

The Israeli Musicological Society was founded in 1967 to promote the study of music and contribute to the musical culture in Israel.

The Society includes representatives from all higher education music departments, musicology departments, teaching colleges, research institutes and music collections, as well as independent scholars.

The Society holds an annual conference where local and international scholars present a wide array of new studies. It publishes “Min-Ad”: an academic journal is dedicated to Israeli musicological research. All managing members of the Society are volunteers. Financial support for the Society and its activities is based exclusively on membership fees, and contributions from institutions or individuals.
