About the Society
Founded in 1967, the Israeli Musicological Society (IMS) is set to promote the study of music and bolster musical culture in Israel.
The Society includes representatives from music departments, music schools and music pedagogy colleges, research institutes and music collectors, as well as independent scholars.
The Society holds an annual conference where scholars from Israel and abroad present a wide array of new research.
It publishes Min-Ad: an online journal dedicated to Israeli musicological research.
The Society is run by volunteers, and is financed exclusively via membership fees.
